salmon & Trout. Grand Rapids is
a fly fisher's paradise close to fantastic
lodging and hotels. Anglers may chose
to fly into Grand Rapids international
Airport where are close to the "Century
Circle" - Ten Blue Ribbon
Trout Streams within an hour and a half.
Located just downtown, The
Grand River is home to abundant
runs of both Fall, Winter, and Spring
Steelhead. Sixth Street Dam is home
to the Grand Rapids Fish ladder and
one of the largest Steelhead runs in
the world! The Grand is also full of
Lake Trout, Lake Run Brown Trout, Chinook
Salmon, Steelhead, and Smallmouth Bass.

February
and March starts off the Spring Grand
River Steelhead run. June and July bring
the Skamania Steelhead during summer
solstice. September and October brings
Chinook Salmon and Lake Trout. Early
November through Christmas offers some
of the Finest Fall Steelhead available
anywhere.The Rogue River is nearby and
also receives a good push of Salmon
and Steelhead near Rockford in October
and November.
Steelhead fishing in West Michigan is
best buring the later fall, November-December
offers the best fly fishing for steelhead
any where in the Great Lakes region.

Sixth
Street Dam in Grand Rapids concentrates
large numbers of Michigan Fall Steelhead
on migrating Great Lakes Steelhead. Spring
and Fall offers anglers unparalleled Fishing
oppertunities for Chinook Salmon, Steelhead,
Lake Run Brown Trout, Lake Trout, and
Coho Salmon.
On the upper Grand
River, concentrations of Michigan
Fall & Spring steelhead can be
found below the Lyons Dam, Webber,
Portland, Grand Ledge and two Lansing
dams.
Michigan Fall Steelhead during November
and December is at it's best. Spring
Steelhead is best during March &
April.

Centerpin
fishing for Steelhead ~ Floats and spawn
has been our technique of choice for covering
water. Fly fishing has also been great, keeping
up with bait fishing numbers. Citris clown
eggs and golden/egg nuke eggs have been fishing
well. TroutBeads
have also been excellent while fishing behind
the salmon. Centerpin Steelhead fishing has
been outstanding with the low-clear water
levels on the Muskegon and Manistee Rivers.
Centerpin float fishing is the best method
for a stealty presentation.

River -
Located near Grand Rapids, The grand offers large
numbers of Fall & Spring Steelhead.
Urban Steelhead fishery in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
One of the largest migratory runs in the world.
Rogue
River
- Offers excellent fly fishing opportunities
during March & April For Steelhead. The Rogue
is a small and wadable river for both, Salmon, Steelhead,
and resident Trout.
